The fabric

The custom cover is printed on matt open weave acoustic polyester fabric using completely water-based inks. The fabric cover is attached to the picture frame panel using sturdy paper flaps that slot around the pegs on the picture frame panel.
The custom speaker fabric used is stark white and can be printed with very detailed art and shows fine lines easily without interruption from the texture of the material. The front of the printed textile has a smooth matt surface texture with a very minor sheen.

Print quality and resolution

Ideally, your image should have a size of 4551 x 3276 pixels in the JPG or PNG file format. The colours will be somewhat less saturated on the printed cover compared to a computer display.
Make sure the main subject of the image isn’t close to edges: the image will be cropped slightly as the print will partly fold around the side of the panel.

Easy Installation

Upgrade your IKEA picture frame speaker in a few minutes without tools, or damaging the speaker. Detach the existing front panel from the speaker and position it on the back of you custom cover, fold the flaps around the pegs and gently push the panel back into the speaker. Now enjoy the music!
We do not supply a panel with our custom printed covers, you can use the panel that is included with the Symfonisk picture frame speaker.

We do not supply a panel with our custom printed covers since IKEA includes the panel with the Symfonisk picture frame speaker. It would be a wasteful to create an extra panel with the custom printed cover, and this way we can keep both the price and shipping costs low.
Our Custom Printed Covers are designed with specialised fabric to minimise the obstruction of the sound. Any object between the listener’s ears and the smart speaker can alter the sound quality, but we feel our covers are in the sweet spot between sound clarity and visual aesthetics.The breathable fabric is only slightly opaque allowing sound to pass through and also for the print to be visible.
The Sonos app allows you to tune the sound with the TruePlay settings to perfect the sound quality to your liking after installing the cover.
Optionally the fabric can be removed from the original front panel before placing the Custom Printed Cover. Peel the glued down fabric from the panel by starting from the back edges.
